After 17 years of being a Secretary I decided I didn't want to get to 55 and be the only person who knew the filing system!
Having successfully completed an Access Course I went on to Bath Spa University College to undertake a B.A. (Hons) Creative Arts course and in July 1998 I graduated. I specialized in Textile Design (weaving) and Creative Studies in English.
In December 1998 I moved to St Ives with my husband and two daughters where I starting producing hand-woven wallhangings, felt bags and handknitted items at home until June 2001 when I gained a unit in the Sloop Craft Market in St Ives. |

I remained there until March 2003 when I realized that I was changing direction towards running workshops and textile classes for adults.
Although my business is called 'Knit One Weave One' I sometimes feel this should be 'Knit One Weave One Felt One Spin One Bead One' but as this would not fit easily onto most cheques I decided to stay with the original name!
As well as creating items to satisfy my interest in mixing colours and textures I am more than happy to undertake commissions, so if you would like an article specifically created for you, please ask.
