I am a Textile Artist living in beautiful St. Ives, Cornwall, with my husband, one daughter (plus one daughter living in London), one cat and three hens.
The work I produce includes hand-woven, knitted, felt items, jewellery and much more. I enjoy working with bright colours and my work often includes shisha mirrors, beads and sequins.
As well as producing work to sell I run workshops for children in libraries in Cornwall as well as travelling to the Isles of Scilly to work with the Holiday Club there.
Throughout the year I also run workshops for adults on a variety of topics such as feltmaking, papier-mâché, fabric dyeing etc. I have also been into schools to work with children on subjects including weaving, feltmaking and papermaking.
I have also worked for organisations such as Arts for Health, Truro Young Women’s Centre, Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change and Penwith Housing Association.
I am a member of Cornwall Embroiderers’ Guild which meets in the WI Headquarters on Threemilestone Industrial Estate and Penteg (Penwith Textiles and Embroidery Group), which meets at St. Thomas’ Church Hall, Heamoor.
