Each workshop will be £25. You can choose which workshops you wish to attend and once payment is received you will get the requirements list at least one week before and the zoom link the day before the workshop.
All are suitable for both beginners and those who have some knowledge of the subject. |

I run workshops on a variety of subjects which can be for 2 hours, half a day or a whole day.
As well as running them for groups I can also offer one to one workshops on any of the subjects available:

- Get to Know Your Sewing Machine
- Batik
- Silk Painting
- Dyeing with Indigo
- Natural Dyeing from the Kitchen
A non-refundable deposit is payable on booking, with the balance payable at the first session.
No experience is necessary to attend any of my workshops and courses and all materials are provided.
I am happy to come into a school to run a workshop and if you run a craft group and are interested in me running a workshop for your group please contact me. |

| Workshop - Textiles |
| Friday 22nd - Saturday 23rd May 2026 |

Jo will guide through silk painting, batik, and Tie-dye techniques.as well as how to dye silk velvet using a Japanese Shibori technique called Arashi.
No experience is necessary as Jo will provide information and demonstrations for all the subjects and all materials will be provided.
At the end of the two days, you will go home with a silk painting, batik picture, tie dyed fabric and some sumptuous silk velvet dyed ready to be made into a scarf at home. You will also have handouts for all the techniques should you wish to do more in the future. |
Cost: £180.

| Workshop - Get to Know Your Sewing Machine |

| For anyone who has a sewing machine but does not feel confident about using it. During the morning you will learn what different parts of the machine are called and what they do, how to change a needle and also a presser foot, try the different stitches the machine offers. After lunch you will have the opportunity to use the knowledge gained to make a lined bag. |
You will need to bring the following:
A working sewing machine plus any accessories, including bobbins, and a manual if you have one.
Sewing threads, scissors, packed lunch. |
