Knit Wits Wool Shop
One of the best wool stockists in the South West - based in Penzance.

They have a huge range of yarns and can despatch around the world.

These include UK Alpaca, Debbie Blis, Sari Silk, Opal Sock Wool and Cornish Organic Wool.

They have also started a Knitting Club where beginners can learn to knit, improve techniques and learn to read patterns. This runs every Thursday and is informal and relaxed.

One of my favourite suppliers.

The Natural Fibre Company
The Company spins wool in small quantities from flocks in Britain, France and Northern Europe. It has been trading in Wales since 1991, but has recently relocated to Launceston in Cornwall. The company is run by environmentalist Sue Blacker, an expert on economic regeneration and a former investment analyst in the City of London. They spin yarns from relatively small quantities of fleece. Although the minimum order is 20 kilograms, people with smaller quantities should speak to them about the possibility of share schemes.
